Orders

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, financial information, and email address. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Our ecommerce, including customer orders, billing & shipping information, is conducted via SecureWineShop. This online e-commerce platform allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through SecureWineShop’s data storage, databases and the general SecureWineShop application. Your data is stored on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment Processing

When you place an order and use a credit card as payment via SecureWineShop, credit card payment processing will be conducted in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete purchase.

Customers may choose to save their credit card information to use for repeat purchases. In this case, actual credit card data is stored with a payment transaction processor certified to meet the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. SecureWineShop uses a process tokenization to protect your credit card information from misuse.

Sharing

We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

We may partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
