Vineyard Designation
Alan Bayer
Tasting Notes
This is a beautiful representation of the Texas Tempranillo grapes from Alan Bayer’s Texas High Plains vines. We gave this noble Spanish grape 40 months of barrel aging and were rewarded with complex flavors of plum, tobacco, limestone, and smoked sea salt.
Food Pairings
You can enjoy the lighter side of this wine with cheese, cured meats, or stuffed piquillo peppers in the warmer months. We like the idea of oso bucco or brased short ribs with spicey au gratin potatos.
