GOLD MEDAL - Best of Appellation: Appellation America “Solid!”
GOLD MEDAL 2008 Austrian Wine Challenge, Vienna, Austria>
Bold as usual, The Noble One opens with a nose of brooding dark cherry fruit and plums. The texture is rich and silky, and provides a palette for flavors of black cherry, black plum and pomegranate which burst forth in the mouth. In the long finish, flavors of subtle oak, smoke and tobacco lend a note of complexity. Ready to drink but will age well with proper cellaring.
WINE CLUB ONLY:
Opens with floral notes of roses and strawberry, then blossom into five spice and cola. The flavors of strawberry and raspberry are enhanced by notes of orange peel, pomegranate and mint. Tangy red licorice comes through on the long finish. Moderate tannins allow the wine to be enjoyed in its youth; the structure and balance of the wine will provide years of pleasure as it ages.
